While in this State, the model:

  • Has doubled Speed.
  • Has Melee Attack Strike value of 1.
  • May move over scenery, obstacles and models, or end its movement above them (unless the scenery is of an infinite height).
  • Cannot benefit from Cover.
  • Always has LoS to all models and all models have LoS to the Flying model.
  • Cannot become Engaged or cause Engaged.
  • Cannot voluntarily become Crouched.
  • Cannot be targeted by Melee Attacks, except by models that are also in the Flying State. However, if a model in this State declares a Melee Attack against a model that is not in the Flying State, the attacked model can declare a Melee Attack, targeting the Flying model. The Flying State is automatically canceled if a model in this State becomes Incapacitated, Dead, Immobilized, Petrified or Crouched. Attack and movement Distances are measured as if the figure were placed on the field.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: May a model use the Protector Skill to protect a model in Flying State?

A: Yes.

Community Answers (Discord)

Q: Can a Flying model be targeted by a Melee Attack?

A (deokel, Feb 2026): No — a Flying model cannot be targeted by a Melee Attack. However, if the Flying model itself declares a Melee Attack, the opponent can switch their Reaction to an Attack. A Flying model within RCH of a Sweep targeting another model will still receive a Hit from that Sweep.

Q: Does Slowed from a Spell (like Anari's ability) last beyond the end of the turn?

A (deokel, Apr–May 2026): No — Slowed from Anari's spells ends at the end of the turn, similarly to Archery II's Slowed effect. This was confirmed after clarification — the duration got lost during rulebook reorganisation.
