Fencing is a Combat Art in Eldfall Chronicles.

A levelled Combat Art for advanced swordsmanship and duelling.

Level Name Effect
I Masterful Parry Target's Melee Attack receives −3 to its modifier.
II Harsh Riposte Target's Melee Attack receives −1 Strike (min. 1).
III Second Wind This model's Melee Attack gains +1 Strike.
IV Grapple & Thrash This model's Melee Attack gains Knockdown.
V Striking the Gaps This model's Melee Attack gains Ignore Armor.

Thenrin Swashbuckler II Harsh Riposte: Target's Melee Attack receives −1 Strike (min. 1).

Citadel Guard I Masterful Parry: Target's Melee Attack receives −3 to its modifier.

Q: As the Reactive player, does Fencing I (−3 modifier) apply even with no Activation Tokens left?

A (Dockel, Feb 2026): No — to use a Combat Art you must target an enemy model, which requires spending an Activation Token.
